The owners, Idaline and Jose were extremely welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. It's proximity to historical centre yet not being right in the noisiest part of the city was perfect.
The bed was a little hard

Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms that were spotless.
A little bit loud in the mornings since the room was close to the front entrance.

We stayed at Hotel Mira D ´Aire for two nights during Sao Joao. It's located a couple of streets from the Lapa metro stop, which makes in convenient when travelling in from the airport. The hotel is a lovely, well cared-for, old town house.
The hotel is around a 15 minutes or so walk to the city centre, which may put some people off but the neighbour is safe.

We felt very comfortable at this small hotel. The owner couple are very, very friendly and helpful with every little wish you may have. They keep the rooms and the whole house very clean and it is furnished with taste and flair. When arriving you feel immediately at home. The breakfast, which is included in the room price, is super delicious and big. When you go up the street, abt 150 m, there is a stop of the Hop on / Hop off bus and also other normal City buses to go downtowns to the historical City and the Harbour, to walk there maybe 15-20 minutes. So, a really perfect location for a City break.

I stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend for the weekend. The location was great, it was away from the busy tourist areas and had fantastic local restaurants near by. The couple running the hotel were so friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was substantial and would keep you going all day. The hotel is an old house extremely clean and if I’m back in Porto again I would definitely stay here again.
